Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Legendary Wonders representative will meet and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax by the pool, enjoy a cool drink, or explore the bustling town life around the lodge as you prepare for the days ahead.
After breakfast, your professional safari guide will pick you up and drive you to Tarangire National Park, about two and a half hours away. Known for its ancient baobab trees and massive elephant herds, Tarangire offers an incredible diversity of wildlife — giraffes, wildebeest, lions, leopards, and more than 550 bird species.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive, taking in the rich landscapes and lively sounds of the bush. Later in the day, you’ll proceed to your comfortable lodge in Karatu.
After an early breakfast, you’ll journey through the scenic highlands to reach the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into this natural amphitheater to explore its incredible concentration of wildlife — from zebras and wildebeests to elephants, lions, and the rare black rhino.
After a picnic lunch by the lake, continue your journey into the legendary Serengeti National Park, arriving by afternoon. The endless golden plains, dotted with acacia trees, offer breathtaking views and the perfect opportunity to spot big cats in their natural habitat.
Spend your morning exploring the heart of the Serengeti, one of Africa’s most spectacular ecosystems. Depending on the season, you might witness the Great Migration, as millions of wildebeest and zebras traverse the plains in search of greener pastures.
Keep your eyes open for lions basking in the sun, cheetahs on the hunt, and elephants wandering the grasslands. After lunch, begin your scenic drive back to Karatu for a relaxing evening at your lodge.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet beautiful gem famous for its tree-climbing lions and large troops of baboons. The park’s shallow alkaline lake attracts thousands of flamingos and other bird species, creating a vivid display of color against the backdrop of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment.
Enjoy a final picnic lunch in the park before heading back to Arusha or the airport for your onward journey.
