Discover Mount Kilimanjaro

Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa, standing at 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above sea level. It is a dormant stratovolcano composed of three volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. Kibo is the tallest and the summit point, known as Uhuru Peak.

Kilimanjaro is famous for its spectacular ecological zones, ranging from lush rainforest at the base, alpine moorlands, heathlands, and alpine desert, to the snow-capped summit. Trekkers experience incredible biodiversity, including exotic birds, monkeys, and giant groundsel plants, as they ascend through these changing ecosystems.

Climbing Kilimanjaro is a unique adventure because it allows hikers to reach the “Roof of Africa” without technical climbing skills, relying on endurance and acclimatization. The views from the summit are breathtaking, offering panoramic vistas over Tanzania and even into Kenya on clear days.
